For Now....

It has been a tough start to a night that was starting pretty well. My wife and I were catching up on a little Heroes when my 4 year old wakes up and comes downstairs. While trying to get her back to sleep the little twin wakes up with puke everywhere. To make a long story short everything gets cleaned up I just fall asleep and more puke. Next thing you know my wife and the little twin are getting a bath, new clothes for everyone, my for year old is in the ground coloring.....blah blah. I get Alexis out of the bath, she is happy but uncooperative, and I tell her "you trying to escape on me" my 4 year old hears "you trying to ice skate" somehow and now won't be quiet. You trying to ice skate!, You trying to ice skate!, You trying to ice skate! Sweet Jesus just go to sleep! At least Jordan the big twin is sleeping........ For now...... -NC

What little we get.....

A quick shot with the Blackberry of Victoria Gardens in the rain
(Though it was an afterthought from the car: Fail)

We got a little rain today, actually it was a light to moderate rain that was steady most of the day. It was awesome. I love the rain. I miss the rain. It rains very little in Southern California, it is a desert after all. What surprises me still is how much the average Southern Californian hates the rain. If we get an inch in a day you would have thought it was killing their favorite dog or at least robbing them of their birthday. People mope and complain and stressfully wish for "some relief" as they put it. Yes it can go for 7 months without any rain, wildfires will devastate entire neighborhoods and when we get ONE day of rain people down here act like it is the worst day EVER. Actually if its not exactly 77 degrees people complain.

Not I. It was great today. I went for a walk around Victoria Gardens (a great mall we have) and just walked in the rain with my coffee. I was soaked. I noticed while I was there that all the trees and plants, flowers and even the birds loved the rain. All of the things that had life were happy in the rain, the Southern Californians were not. That says it all to me. -NCThis afternoons view from the backyard. Whats not to love?

It's Happening Fast

There are so many things that go on around here. My little one is getting really big and two more little ones seemed to come out of nowhere and fill that role. Work, Disneyland, Snow, my wife's job, these two little crazy ones, my yard full of weeds, devil winds, funny things that 4 year old's think..... so many being missed because I have no good place to put them. I still think this may not be the best place but it is the place I have. Lets give it yet another shot. Lets see where it leads. -NC My first Snow Angel making her first Snow Angel.
